David Greig

MACA CEO David Greig was appointed Thiess Group Executive - Australia West in 2023, after MACA joined the Thiess Group in late 2022.

David has 30 years’ broad experience in the construction, open cut and underground mining sectors across Australia, as well as international postings in Texas, Kentucky, Alberta and Chile. More recently he's contributed to operations in Cambodia and Brazil. He has successfully led the development and execution of growth, consolidation and diversification strategies within these competitive markets.

David led Strategy & Growth at MACA before taking on the Chief Operating Officer role in 2020. He was elevated to the position of MACA Chief Executive Officer, just prior to MACA joining the Thiess Group in late 2022.

David holds a Bachelor of Commerce, and has completed post-graduate studies with INSEAD in Singapore and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He sits on the General Council for the WA Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and has been on the Board of Murlpirrmarra Connection, a not-for-profit that provides education opportunities for Aboriginal youth in the remote communities across WA.
