NRLW Newcastle Knights launch 2026 season with Thiess

On Saturday 6 June, Thiess welcomed the NRLW Newcastle Knights squad and coaching staff to MACH Energy’s Mount Pleasant Operation in New South Wales to launch their 2026 season.

Thiess is a proud partner of the Knights, in line with our ongoing commitment to supporting local communities and creating opportunities in the Hunter Valley, while strengthening connection with the region and expanding the Thiess network.

Ryan Fox, Thiess Project Manager at Mount Pleasant, shared: “We were proud to welcome the team to site and give them a firsthand look at the operations and innovation that drive Thiess forward, as well as to introduce them to the people behind our operations. It was also a great opportunity to celebrate the values that unite us – performance, teamwork and community.

“With more than 80 years of history in the Hunter Valley, this partnership builds on our long-standing connection with the region and the communities we’re a part of.”

During the visit, we hosted a special site tour, including a stop at the lookout to check out the new Knights X Thiess Caterpillar D10 dozer blade and capture a new team photo for the season ahead. The day continued with a trip to the workshop, a presentation on Thiess operations and our role in supporting local jobs, businesses and communities across the Hunter Valley and the opportunity to connect with our team over a BBQ.

The NRLW season kicks off in July and we’ll be backing the Knights every step of the way. We wish them all the best for the season ahead and look forward to seeing what they achieve in 2026.
