Thiess site leadership team has implemented a series of productivity and cost improvement programs to drive efficiencies.
Thiess commenced operations at the mine in 2007 and is responsible for mining operations while also holding the statutory responsibility for the coal mine and coal handling preparation plant (CHPP).
In a challenging economic environment, the Thiess site leadership team has implemented productivity and cost-improvement programs to drive efficiencies. This has been achieved while delivering expert planning and optimum mining sequencing to ensure our operations deliver consistent coal quantities.
Thiess is committed to supporting the local community and has been instrumental in helping Collinsville residents secure more than $150,000 in funding to establish a permanent memorial to the town’s beloved working ‘pit ponies’, coinciding with their decommissioning 25 years ago.
