Decarbonisation

Decarbonising for a better tomorrow

Progress on decarbonisation

Although delayed technology development and infrastructure upgrades have slowed the global energy transition, the Thiess Group continued working with partners and clients to develop and adopt lower emissions options in 2025.

We implemented initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce diesel use, and
trial autonomous, hydrogen, hybrid and fully battery-electric equipment. We
continue to work on, and allocate capital to, abatement options as a priority
over purchase of offsets

Interim targets towards net zero emissions by 2050^

^Includes Scope 1, 2 and Scope 3 emissions from diesel combustion in the fleet we operate.
