The team at our new Salt Lake City office launched the recruitment campaign in December last year, facilitating three weeks of virtual recruiting that has gained positive traction so far.
Vice President Operations North America, David Perkins, says establishing our team in Salt Lake City is key to us bringing flexible and sustainable mining solutions to the Americas.
“Having secured our first contract, we’re now growing our local team to bring local talent together with Thiess’s global experience and technical capabilities.
“This gives us the ability to move quickly and deliver solutions that count for our new client, as well as begin to position Thiess for additional opportunities in the region,” he said.
The team is half-way to recruiting an initial workforce for the Molybdenum project, using a mix of face to face and regionally targeting Facebook ads and online marketing events to publicise new working opportunities.
