What if a scheduled rebuild could become a decarbonisation opportunity?
Every haul truck eventually reaches a major rebuild. Traditionally, that's been about restoring reliability and extending asset life, but what if it could also reduce fuel consumption and emissions?
Through our partnership with FLANDERS, Thiess is exploring exactly that by integrating hybrid technology into existing haul trucks during planned rebuilds. The first Hybrid Retrofit of a Thiess CAT 793D is now underway, and we're looking forward to sharing the latest progress from the trial.
