Healthy river, brighter future
Thiess, in partnership with the International RiverFoundation (IRF), has successfully completed the construction of new toilets and bio septic tanks in three schools within Lambing Village.
This milestone is enhanced by a comprehensive educational campaign. Delivered to the students at these schools, the awareness and education sessions have played an important role in linking sanitation practices directly to river health. Through engaging and interactive sessions, the school students have gained a clear understanding of the relationship between their sanitation choices and the health of the river.
This project demonstrates our commitment to tackling the source of the issues faced by the river to drive long-term change and impact. Through this education campaign, we will help drive an enhanced culture of environmental stewardship within Lambing Village and contribute towards achieving SDG6, Clean Water and Sanitation.
