2024 Careers Trackers Awards

We are thrilled to share that not one but TWO outstanding employees were nominated for the 2024 Careers Trackers Awards and were celebrated for their exceptional efforts at the Gala dinner. Alex Dyball won the Alumni Excellence Award, a testament to his dedication to Thiess and the broader community.

Alex has proven to be an invaluable team member at Thiess and played an instrumental part in developing Thiess' Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), demonstrating his commitment to fostering inclusivity and diversity within the industry. In the Career Trackers program, Alex has actively championed opportunities for Indigenous students, offering guidance, organizing work experience placements, and participating in networking events.

Harley Luxford is currently studying for a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at the University of Queensland and was nominated for Intern of the Year. Harley has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence in his contributions to Thiess's mining services teams. Harley's proactive approach and collaborative spirit, showcased through his willingness to teach VBA and support colleagues, reflect his dedication to achieving exceptional results. Harley's engagement with Career Trackers since 2019 and his commitment to Indigenous-related initiatives showcases his passion for driving positive change and advocating for Indigenous rights, making him a valuable member of our team.
