Thiess celebrates World Environment Day in Indonesia with restoration efforts
In celebration of World Environment Day 2024, our teams in Indonesia undertook tree-planting initiatives to promote the theme ‘generation restoration’.
The Batam team planted 500 mangrove seeds in Nongsa Village, working in collaboration with Kawasan Industri Terpadu Kabil, the Department of Environment (Dinas Lingkungan Hidup) and the local community. The team at Balikpapan planted 155 fruit trees in support of a government program highlighting the importance of food resilience.
