Kellie Breen joined the Thiess Group in 2026 and is the Group Executive – People & Capability.

Kellie is an accomplished senior executive with more than 25 years' experience across the mining, industrial, infrastructure and resources sectors, spanning both publicly listed and government-owned organisations. Throughout her career, she has successfully led large-scale business transformation, organisational capability, culture and leadership initiatives, delivering sustained improvements in business performance through a focus on people, processes, systems and continuous improvement.

Prior to joining Thiess, Kellie served as Chief People Officer at Sunwater, where she led significant culture transformation programs, organisational capability uplift and workforce initiatives that strengthened employee engagement, customer outcomes and operational performance. She has also held executive and senior leadership positions with Incitec Pivot, WDS Limited and Macarthur Coal.

Kellie holds a Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) from the University of Southern Queensland, Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Certificate of Organisational Coaching from IECL. She is passionate about creating environments where people, teams and organisations can perform at their best and achieve sustainable success.
