Our autonomous fleet includes drilling and haulage systems and semi-autonomous tractor systems. We have expertise in feasibility assessment, autonomous project planning, training operators for autonomous equipment, building remote operation centres and managing sites with both fully-autonomous or mixed fleets.
We also manage remote WIFI and LTE networks to enable reliable connectivity. Our autonomous systems can also be leveraged for mine site rehabilitation.

First mining services provider to deploy an Epiroc Pit Viper drill.

Operating 22hrs a day at Lake Vermont, we drilled 1 million lineal metres autonomously.

Thiess is proud to develop new career pathways for machine operators.
We have recently launched an in-house Autonomous Haulage Controller Program to strengthen internal capability to safely and effectively scale autonomy across projects.
The purpose-built program is designed to equip both AH Controllers and Fleet Controllers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to effectively manage autonomous haulage fleets in a way that aligns directly with the operational needs of our clients.
