Thiess achieves Gold Certification for safety excellence

We have achieved Gold Certification from Mutual de Seguridad in Chile, recognising outstanding performance in occupational risk management and employee wellbeing in our Santiago Office

The certification, awarded in December 2025, is the highest rating issued by Mutual de Seguridad, a national not‑for‑profit organisation that provides mandatory occupational health and safety coverage in Chile. The Bronze, Silver and Gold program assesses compliance with safety standards through detailed audits, with Gold signalling exemplary safety leadership and operational performance.

Thiess General Manager – South America Richard Lizana said: “We are proud of our team for earning this significant recognition – we were awarded the Bronze certification in 2022, and receiving the Gold now demonstrates our team’s consistent dedication to driving continuous improvement, and building strong safety behaviours that are supported by efficient controls and systems.

“This Gold Certification is a testament to our people and the culture they have created – one that puts safety at the centre of every decision, where everyone is safe everyday.”

As we continue to expand our operations in Chile, we remain focused on advancing safety performance through its people, technology and ongoing collaboration with clients and industry partners.
