Improving the health of high-risk employees

In 2023, our Indonesia team identified an increasing trend in medical high-risk employees – personnel with medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes and heart disease, which can be improved with lifestyle adjustments such as a healthy diet, increased physical activity and reducing or eliminating smoking and alcohol consumption.

They implemented a program to identify, educate and support personnel with a pilot program launched at the Wahana site in June 2023. Site paramedics were trained to support the initiative, with employees monitored and their progress periodically evaluated. With the pilot a success, the program was rolled out across our Indonesia operations in 2024.

By the end of December 2024, the number of medical high-risk employees had decreased from 300 cases identified in 2023 to 132 – a 56% improvement since the program launch
